The Rainard School is excited to be working with Plura Processing to offer kids, parents, and friends of the school a way to raise money for the school. Plura has developed a new technology that lets you raise money for Rainard without spending a dime. The following steps will show you how to install and use Plura (click on the images to enlarge them).
| 1. |
Download the Plura desktop application by clicking here. Save the application to your desktop. Once you've downloaded the application, double-click on it to start the installation. If your computer asks you if you are sure you want to run this software, click Run. |
| 2. |
Follow the installation instructions to install the application. |
| 3. |
Once installation is complete, click Finish to run the program. |
| 4. |
Enter the appropriate Affiliate ID in the first field. The ID lets us know which student you want to support in the fundraising drive. To find a particular student's ID, click here. The username and password are the same as those used in the newsletter. Once you're done, click Save and Hide. |

| 5. |
Plura will minimize to your taskbar. It will only run when idle (or according to the preferences you've set). The icon will turn green when Plura is running. The longer Plura runs, the more money you will generate for Rainard. |

| Once you've completed setup, you're all good to go. Plura will run in the background according to your settings. When Plura runs, your computer becomes part of a grid computer. Your computer will receive small pieces of compute work from Plura and perform calculations. Plura uses these calculations to solve very complicated and fascinating problems, such as stock market analysis, web crawling, and other things. Basically, in exchange for donating some of your PC's computing power to Plura, you're helping Rainard earn money from Plura. |
| The Plura application is completely secure and harmless. It won't compromise or affect your system. It's designed to be a safe and easy tool for helping groups like the Rainard School earn money. |
